Known by his call sign AA0DV, Everett was a committed and passionate radio operator who shared his knowledge and expertise with operators across the airwaves. Everett earned his first amateur radio license in 1984, beginning a decades-long journey of service and connection through radio. First licensed as KA0GQA before becoming AA0DV, he dedicated himself to strengthening the ham radio community. His work as a Volunteer Examiner (VE) helped many earn their own licenses, ensuring the future of amateur radio. He also played a vital role in emergency communications, particularly through his service with the Northland Amateur Radio Emergency Services (NARES) in Clay County, Missouri. More than just an operator, Everett was a mentor, a friend, and a guiding voice to those who knew him. He believed in the power of radio to unite people across distances, and his presence on the airwaves will be deeply missed.
