16:49:27 K0KEX UNK NET 110582 Thanks to all. Looking forward to hearing comments. want 3 ups and 3 downs from everyone
16:50:32 K0RGB UNK NET 110583 had a good time. Learned about APRS droyd feature. W3W went well. Need to work on w3w's verification overall net went well.
16:51:26 KF0CJM UNK NET 110584 had a lot of fun! w3w's worked well. APRS worked even better - faster and more reliable, so maybe we need to work on that more.
16:53:19 W4XJ UNK NET 110585 REALLY enjoyed it. Got some exercise. Varied each time in how he did the w3w reports and needs to be standardized. He mentioned his only consistencies. He echo's CJM's comments re: APRS. Good shakedown re: the equipment we all have.
16:55:00 KD0FUE UNK NET 110586 Had fun! Too much info re: the Guide that was sent out. Too much info to consolidate at one time. Handbook. Suggests NO handout for the gen ham community and just for the Leaders.
16:55:17 KD0FUE UNK NET 110587 Logger completely agrees with him!!
16:57:48 KA0SXY UNK NET 110588 Had fun! Good conversations at FS 2 - got a chance to use all the equipment. Handbook needs to be less technical. Needs to give instructions for a sim scenario in a more generic fashion and let the Operator figure it out, like would happen in a RW situation.
17:00:35 KY0O UNK NET 110589 Really enjoyed it. There might have been static buildup on the antenna. Sending the w3w via NC might be better than via voice.
17:01:06 KY0O UNK NET 110590 THat is send w3w via text to NC.
17:01:56 KY0O UNK NET 110591 suggest hams slow down voicing their call signs.
17:03:47 AK0SK UNK NET 110592 Had fun! Had to program his radio and APRS worked very well for him. He doesn't see any downside today.
17:05:58 KD0NBH UNK NET 110593 Thanks to all! Great use of the equip in FS 2. Still has a problem with w3w as it still keeps him about 60 feet from where he actually is. There was a fair amount of dead time and he would like to get folks more active.
17:12:08 WA0TJT UNK NET 110594 Would like to get rid of the ID voice on the repeater. We had a Curl error on the online NCM view. Keith will check this out further. Great participation on the APRS and w3w's drill portion of the SET today
17:12:57 WA0TJT UNK NET 110595 Needs a better timestamp for the APRS entry. So he learned a coding issue with this location positioning.
17:13:59 WA0TJT UNK NET 110596 Entering the w3w to the online website and verifying the street with the operator worked well to make sure we were in the right part of the world.
17:15:08 WA0TJT UNK NET 110597 Enjoyed having 2 separate nets for voice and digital. Made for better tracking of folks who were on our net.
17:17:41 W0DLK UNK NET 110599 Overall SET went very well. w3w's went good when operator gave some representation of the words, such as .sniff if you said what you do with your nose (as example). Thanked everyone for all the patience with time needed for verification. We had only a few opportunities to test APRS, so more work needed on that, but we learned what is needed.
17:19:34 K0KEX UNK NET 110600 Closing comments and back to Net.
17:20:48 N0TMH UNK NET 110602 First SET exercise and really appreciated what planning went into it. Learned a lot and now knows his equipment limitations.
17:22:19 KY0O UNK NET 110603 In real emergency you might have to "hurry up and wait" so this is not unusual.
17:23:38 KY0O UNK NET 110604 w3w's is new so we need to give it a chance. Can send through text or through APRS Chat or some other chat to send to NC.
